Update since writing this post in 2016, now in 2023, half of my autism cases are American and the other half are mostly from the UK. The bulk of this post written in 2016 still stands. This is what I had to say back then…
I am a homeopath living in the UK who deals primarily with patients with autistic symptoms and those who are vaccine damaged by the Gardasil vaccine given for cervical cancer.
All bar one of my autism cases are American. I have one patient from England and her case is no different to the American cases.
My UK Homeopathic colleagues who also specialise in autism cases have noticed the same trend.
Canadian, Australian and New Zealand patients also far out strip the UK…so why is this so?
Searching the web for “how to heal autism” will give a list of websites primarily from the US. Of course, it is a bigger country so you would expect more information, however, the number of Facebook support and advice groups, websites, YouTube videos, and blogposts all very openly suggest and confirm via testimonials and examples that diet, supplements, chelation, and detoxing via homeopathy can reduce and in some cases completely reverse autism symptoms.
I have been a member of several UK autism groups for over a year, watching, reading and getting a feel for what the general opinion here is on healing autism. I see that most posts offering advice on healing symptoms are met with a string of negative response such as, ” My child is perfect, I am offended that you even contemplate they need fixing!”, or ” what a load of ****, how can diet heal my child!”, and often, “Vaccines do not cause autism, end of discussion!”. Such common responses can deter members liking or asking for more information about such ideas.
Facebook groups in the UK offering open discussion on healing autism do exist but are rare and hard to find. If you belong to one perhaps you can post a link below.
Apart from Andrew Wakefield, the US leads the way in terms of hard evidence of vaccines causing autism. The main websites are all in the US. The latest documentary called “Vaxxed” is an all American production – and the UK has NO access to stream or see it. The Vaxxed team are trying to get funds to bring it to small cinemas around the world. Most UK people haven’t heard of it.
It’s an eye-opening documentary on autism and I defy anyone who believes that vaccines have no link to some autism cases to not even consider this is a possibility after watching it.
The huge majority of health professionals, medical doctors, and scientists who are openly discussing the causes and treatments of autism on the internet are American. If you have to pay for something – you look around at the range of products compare the prices and look at product reviews.
Most of the world have to pay for their health.
So the Americans are discussing in groups:
Is there something to heal my child’s ASD symptoms?
What is on offer?
What has worked for you?
What did it do for you?
Where can I get it?
Who provides a quality service?
The UK mums tend to ask:
What have you been prescribed? (All UK NHS prescriptions are free)
It doesn’t work so what else can I ask for?
How do I get school support?
How can I get a statement for my child?
Discussion about CBD therapy.
These groups are focussing in two totally different directions. The US ones are proactive in finding something that works.
The UK ones are more supportive and a listening framework to discuss their child’s behaviours.
Go into most UK and US groups and generally you will see this difference.
It saddens me that children on both sides of the ocean have the same symptoms yet one side is recovering in huge numbers yet we in the UK are making such slow progress.
I used to teach primary children for 20 years before becoming a homeopath. I have taught many children on the autism spectrum. The numbers have generally grown from one in a class, when I started teaching, to 6 when I left. This is a growing trend which does not seem to be slowing down.
The UK has a welfare state. Every parent that I saw who had a child on the spectrum, and who required support all thought that their child’s needs would be met automatically by the school. They would have a special school place if needed, a statement which would entitle them to teacher support, and that their whole situation would be dealt with.
It’s was quite a shock to many of them to find out that they had to fight for every bit of assistance, and that help was not guaranteed.
Because of this reliance on the state, many think that if there is a solution it will be supplied. If diet worked the doctor would say so. If vaccines were the cause they would stop giving them.
The US mums have discovered it’s not so simple. If you want to help your child there are solutions that have helped many children, but you have to be pro active. No one will hand it to you on a plate.
It’s time we in the UK started to become more open minded and realise that the NHS does not have all the answers. It’s unfortunate that the NHS doesn’t offer the treatments that have proven to be successful for many around the world.
I hope that this post stimulates more UK parents to look beyond the norm in this country as help is available here.
